4 Phoenix-area cities are tops for finding a job

Good news for New Year’s job seekers: Four Greater Phoenix area cities are listed in WalletHub’s top 20 Cities to Find a Job.

Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale and Peoria were the four that made WalletHub’s survey of best cities for job hunters.

WalletHub analyzed 150 of the most populated U.S. cities across 16 key metrics. They range from job opportunities to employment growth.

Gilbert ranked 3rd:

2nd – Median Annual Income Adjusted for Cost of Living

2nd – Crime Rate

3rd – Unemployment Rate for High School Graduates

Chandler ranked 6th:

According to the National Association for Business Economics, non-farm employment will grow by nearly 220,000 jobs per month while unemployment will fall to 5.4 percent by the fourth quarter, WalletHub reported.

WalletHub also said that the National Association of Colleges and Employers reported that nearly 80 percent of recruiters expect to hire graduates with bachelor’s degrees in 2015, compared with only 2.9 percent for those with an associate degree and 14.2 percent with a masters.
